Installation

Requirements

• HumHub version 1.18.x+.
• A valid ORCID API client ID and secret.
• PHP 8.3+
• allow_url_fopen MUST be enabled!

Setup

1. Install and enable the module in Administration → Modules.
2. Register your application at ORCID Developer Tools.
3. Set the Redirect URI to https://<your-hostname>/user/auth/external?authclient=orcid (the exact value is shown on the module's configuration page).
4. Open the module's configuration page, enter the Client ID and Client Secret, tick Enabled and save.
5. Optionally, create a profile field to hold users' ORCID iDs and enter its internal name on the configuration page (default: orcid).
