The Community Notes module for HumHub enables administrators and authorized groups to add community notes to user posts. This feature functions similarly to fact-checking systems on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, allowing the community to provide additional context and information on potentially misleading or incomplete content.

Usage

Adding a Community Note

  1. Navigate to a post within your HumHub community.
  2. If you have the necessary permissions, click the "Add Community Note" button.
  3. Enter your note, providing relevant context or corrections.
  4. Choose an alert type (Success, Warning, Danger, Info, or No Alert).
  5. Submit the note to be displayed beneath the original post.

Viewing Community Notes

  • Community notes will appear below posts where applicable.
  • If a note has an alert type, it will be visually highlighted.

Configuration

Permissions

  • Permissions can be managed under Administration > Users > Groups > Permissions.
  • Only admins or groups with the appropriate permissions can add notes.
